I did a pelvic scan and the scan result shows there is a thick walled hypoechoic mass measuring 3.09 X 3.98 cms with heterogenous echopattern, there is increased vascularity around the mass when examined under color flow. What does it suggest? Is there anything to be worried about. My Dr is suggesting a surgery be done to remove the mass.
Hello and welcome to HCM, The mass detected on ultrasonography appears to be a fibroid. Fibroids are benign tumors arising from uterine muscle. They need to be removed surgically if they become symptomatic.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
